There is a lawsuit being filed against the EPA and the Bush Administration calling for an assessment of the dangers of smog emission standards. This follows the Bush Administration concluding that the standards did not need to be lowered.
The "Oh Hell No" of the Week It's sad, but true: Dr. Kevorkian is planning to run for Congress in Michigan. We all remember Dr. Kevorkian from the 90s. You know, that loving quack doctor who so selflessly assisted people with terminal illnesses with suicide. Does it really matter what his platform is? Not to me, it doesn't. I'm just glad I don't live in Michigan! What I think is the irony of it all is that Kevorkian himself has a terminal illness.
I agree with Tomcat! This foolish old man reminds me in some ways of Ralph Nader. Both are committed to causes that serve them and their egos. Both have become famous for being infamous. I nominate Kevorkian for Burger King!
Okay. I'll go against the current here. I'll say that I would vote for either Kevorkian or Nader if they were running for Congress. I think they both have something to say.
As long as they don't run on a separate tick for President after ducking the Democratic party primary, I'll vote for either one of them.
On a Scale from 1-5 (1 being not so bad, 5 being of Richard Nixon proportions), how bad was the Bosnia lie?
Japanese Whalers in the News Again
People need to stop acting like whales don't matter. I watched this fascinating documentary last year on PBS about whales, and I was astonished. There is so much we can learn from these massive creatures!
The BBC News headlines today include a story about protesters, butter, and a Japanese whaling ship. Read the story here.
What do you think?
Were the animal rights activists wrong for throwing acid at the Japanese whalers?
*Can't say that I'm particularly surprised. This might sound shocking, but I didn't actually care in the first place. I mean, really. How close was Prince Harry going to let "the enemy" get to him? Were they really going to get a good enough look to know that he's one of the princes?

I can only hope that he's running as a Repuglican. :-(

Nooooo! With Dr. K running that place, I'd never know what was in my burger! :-(
LOL LOL!! You make a good point TC. By the way do you think our avatars would like each other? :-)
